Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels (MOW)

Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels provides hot, nutritious lunches to senior citizen tenants of the Housing Authority of the City of Pasco and Franklin County (HACPFC). These well-balanced meals are served at 11:45 a.m., Monday through Friday, at HACPFC’s Ray Pflueger Recreation Center, 253 W. Margaret, in the Rosewood Park development. Meals on Wheels has several dining sites throughout the Tri-Cities area and while there is no set charge for the meals, seniors are asked to donate what they can afford.

Boys & Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties

The Boys & Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties (The Club) first opened its doors on September 21, 1996. The Club’s first home was the former community center located on 4th Avenue in Pasco but that space was soon outgrown and The Club relocated to its current location in the former Emerson Elementary School on 18th Avenue in Pasco. More than 20 years later, The Club has a presence in elementary schools and community buildings throughout the Tri-Cities area, even at the Housing Authority of the City of Pasco and Franklin County (HACPFC)!

In 1997, the Boys & Girls Club opened a branch in HACPFC’s Sprucewood Recreation Center, located at 333 W. Court Street. Years later this branch was renamed in honor of HACPFC’s now retired Executive Director, Bobbie Littrell, an advocate of The Club from its earliest days. The Club offers a variety of fun and educational programs with emphasis placed on academic success, healthy lifestyles, good character and citizenship. The Club’s professional staff members are positive role models and build lasting relationships with club members. Snacks and dinner are served daily.
